Affinity Groups

We don't really have official names for these configurations of folks that come and go and form around shared interests and having fun together. But we have plenty of long-running and one-and-done formations of folks who like to build community while sharing an interest.

Contact us at the church office at 701-235-4622 or Pastor Cal
or anyone on the Leadership Team and we can help introduce you to the organizers.

Upcoming dates and times are also posted in the bulletin and weekly email.

  • move it mondays

Joins us at Grace on Monday nights at 6:30pm to participate in walking, WII, and other low impact exercise to burn calories and move together.  Get refreshed afterward with a short devotional and water break.

  • Ladies movie night

About once a month Kristi Lindstrom hosts a movie night at the parsonage. Usually, we pull a movie title out of a bucket at random - and gather around popcorn to laugh and cry and chat together. Some of us are particularly good at holding entire conversations through movie quotes, others of us just like to catch a good show with friends.

  • Stitch Night

A group of enthusiasts usually meets at the church on the last Tuesday evening of the month.  Bring any handicraft to work on.  Or just come and hang out and keep your hands busy by holding a mug of tea or coffee.  The rumor is that some faithful stitchers keep a project in their trunk, bring it out on Tuesday stitch night, and then pack it away for the next time, without worrying about forward progress.  So really, there are no rules.

  • Dinners of grace

A long-running group organized by Ken Meester that dines out about once-a-month (except in the hottest months of summer). Contact Ken to get on the email distribution list ( kmeester@msn.com ), but also watch the bulletin and church email for dates / times. Everyone is welcome.

  • Game night & Nerf games

Sometimes we have a hankering to gather around board games, card games, or strategy games.  Other times, folks are feeling more energetic and organize nerf games throughout the facility.
